Why we choose Lajares on Fuerteventura as the location for our surf camp

The idyllic town of Lajares is also called "Surfcity", among other things, because the infrastructure is adapted to surfers' needs. In addition, most of the beaches and coasts are equally close, so that you can reach the best surf spots at short notice, depending on the wave conditions. Of course, this saves an enormous amount of time when checking out the spot.

Every surfer or, correspondingly, every surf school has to pass through the
town of Lajares at least once a day in order to take advantage of the variability
of the coasts. Depending on the wind and waves, this is necessary in order to be

able to to reach the coastal regions in the north, the east or the west - only in this

way can individual attention can be paid to all levels of ability of the surf students.

The choice of our surf camp base is therefore systematic and we were able to
choose one of the few surf camps here in Lajares in the north of Fuerteventura.

Our surf camp in Lajares is your place to feel good
The centre of Lajares is very diverse. Here you will experience a mixture of
Canarian traditions and influences of different nations. Attractive cafés invite you
to linger during the day - whether you want to breakfast in the "Cafè El Goloso"
or a midday snack in the restaurant "El Arco".

Even the evenings are individual and lively, there are several bars where
regular concerts take place and restaurants where you can enjoy a drink,
e.g. the "Canela Cafè" or "The Return Bar".

Mobility around Lajares
The centre of the village can be easily reached on foot from our surf camp (approx. 600 metres). There is a large supermarket (opening hours: Mon.-Sat. 08:30-21:00 // Sun. 09:00-15:00) with a vegan organic corner, meat and cheese counter.

You are welcome to use our rental bikes for the shorter distances in town or to the beach in Cotillo or Majanicho. In addition, we have plenty of skateboards and longboards at your disposal.

Weekly Craft Market: Every Saturday, a handmade market takes place on the market square in Lajares, where locals and surfers offer lovingly produced "goodies". Local bands also play on the small stage and ensure a good atmosphere.
